Do you remember your first WOD? What did you think on that first day?

The first workout I did was baseline to see where I started. I thought “how hard can this really be?” Well I was completely wrong and I couldn’t walk normal for 2 days straight. I thought that I would really enjoy Crossfit, but how can one person remember all of these things before going into group workouts.

What kind of results have you experienced since starting CrossFit?

I have realized my concentration and focus in everyday tasks have gotten better and my energy levels are back up to where they used to be. I have noticed that I can finally do a push up again!!!

What has been your biggest accomplishment since starting at CrossFit Confidence?

I haven’t maxed out on an lifts since high school (2013), sorry to make you feel old, and to be able to max out during the lift off was an amazing feeling. I still am not the best lifter, but now I know that I can accomplish big things if I set my mind to it.

Also completing the 99 problems WOD. Even though I did go over the time cap I chose to complete it and I felt a huge accomplishment after doing that.

What has CrossFit changed about your life?

It has made me more aware of what I am capable of. When I don’t think I can accomplish a task I now have a mini coach Matt in my ear saying you can do it. Mind over matter. I have also been starting to think more positive in everyday life.

What is one goal that you are currently working on?

I am trying to do strict handstand push ups and then move on to double unders.

What motivates you/keeps you coming back?

A healthy life style. I was told in the beginning that I will put on muscle weight and so I started to focus more on what I can do to make for a healthier life and Crossfit is a nice compliment to that.

What is your favorite benchmark WOD?

I like the WOD’s that make me sweat! That’s why Saturday morning partner workouts are my favorite. You have someone there to encourage you and keep you accountable, but they are also feeling the pain as much as you are. 99 problems was my favorite one so far, yes I’m crazy.

Least favorite?

Anything to do with the Snatch. It is a section that I need to improve on greatly, but I’m not a fan of doing them.

Do you have a favorite song to work out to?

I always down for a good dancing song to keep the energy levels up. I love fireball by Pitbul, Waka Waka by Shakira and of course anything by Bruno Mars 🙂

What would you say to someone who is new or considering starting CrossFit?

You will either love it or hate it but you wont know until you try it.

What are some of your interests outside of CrossFit?

I love to socialize! Meeting new people, trying a new restaurant, having a few cocktails, and my number one thing is to travel. Seeing new cities and states will never get old to me.

What do you do for a living?

Currently I am working 2 jobs. One as a waitress at Trail’s (Come and see me) and second as a Pharmacy Technician at Coborn’s in Sauk Rapids. The next step though, now that I graduated, is to find a big girl job. The plan is to go work for an airline, preferably Delta or Southwest, and be a flight attendant. I am really excited for this new adventure.

What cereal cartoon character do you identify with the most? Why?

The Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs bird, because I am a little crazy and weird and I can not help it. He also loves chocolate which is never a bad thing.
